NO INTERVIEWS FOR GROUP B, C AND D POSTS IN CENTRAL GOVERNMENT
The central government has decided to do away with interviews for Group B, C and D posts, Prime Minister Narendra Modi said while addressing the Nation on the weekly radio programme 'Mann ki baat' on Sunday.
Aspirants for the Group examinations need to take only the written examinations, he said. The move is said to address the issue of corruption in seeking government jobs.
Some of the highlights of the Prime Minister's speech:
• 'Gold Monetisation Scheme'. Under this scheme gold can be deposited with banks and earn interest on those deposits.
• Organ donation: Need one lakh eyes every year but only manage to get 25,000. The need for kidneys, heart and livers is high but less number of transplants happen.
• PM wishes India, South Africa all the best for final ODI.
